Highlights of Gobi
UB - Yol Valley - Khongor sand dunes - The Flaming CliffsOverview
Unforgettable trip in the land of dinosaurs!
We will visit the Yol Valley, The singing dunes, The Flaming Cliffs, Camel breeders. The area is often imagined as a lifeless desert but in fact, it is semi-desert land with sparse vegetation where the surrounding regions sustain many animals, including black-tailed gazelles, marbled polecats, wild Bactrian camels, Mongolian wild ass. They are occasionally visited by snow leopards, brown bears, and wolves. Lizards are especially well-adapted to the climate of the Gobi Desert, with approximately 30 species distributed across its southern Mongolian border. The Gobi is overall a cold desert, with frost and occasionally snow occurring on its dunes.
